My dear friend Francie was married yesterday to her love, James. The wedding took place at the camp where they both summered when they were kids. I took my sister as my date, as she graduated high school with James and went to camp with both of them. It was so great to have my sister in town and at my side; we had a blast.
The wedding ceremony itself may have been the loveliest I have ever heard. James' brother officiated. In it he said something like those that celebrate the joys of others experience heaven. Towards the end he asked family and friends to stand if they wanted to show their support of the couple. I thought it was the most beautiful reversal of the standard asking if there is anyone who wishes to object to the union. The day and night were filled with communal celebration. What a beautiful day. Here are some photos from it.
Crud. This makes me think I need to get a Spectra again. Very nice work, ma'am.
